DOC. 012 — Service

Shipping

Printed to order, then shipped from our fulfillment partner. Production time comes before transit time.

Nothing sits on a warehouse shelf waiting for you. When you place an order the garment is printed, packed and handed to a carrier. Ninety-eight percent of orders leave production within 48 hours; ordinary orders are produced within three business days.

Orders of $150 or more ship free to the United States on standard delivery. Below that, and for every international destination, shipping is calculated at checkout from the destination, the shipping method and the garments in the bag.

How a package is priced

Rates are set by garment type, not by a single flat fee. The first item in a parcel is charged at the first-item rate for its category. Every extra piece is charged at the additional-item rate for its own category. The item with the highest first-item rate starts the parcel; the rest are additional.

A hoodie and a tee, for example, are priced as one hoodie at the first-item rate plus one tee at the additional-item rate. Adding more pieces raises the total. The exact figure is shown before you pay.

What that means in practice

Add production to transit for a total. A standard United States order is usually 10–15 business days door to door. Express, when offered, is usually about a week. Destinations outside the US more often land in the two-to-four-week range. Remote addresses, islands and customs inspections can run longer.

Days are business days — Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in the production and destination countries. Carriers are assigned automatically and may include UPS, FedEx, USPS and international partners. You do not choose the courier.

Tracking and delivery

  • A tracking number is emailed as soon as the parcel is scanned, and the same number is attached to your order.
  • Delivery is confirmed when the carrier marks the parcel Delivered. That is the end of the transit clock.
  • Several garments in one order ship together once the slowest piece is finished.
  • We cannot change an address once a run has entered production.
  • If the address you gave is wrong or incomplete, redelivery, storage and handling are charged to you. Redelivery can take a further 20–30 business days.

International orders

  • We ship worldwide on standard delivery. Express appears at checkout only where the destination supports it.
  • Customs duties, import VAT and brokerage are not included in the order total unless checkout says otherwise. The recipient pays them.
  • An order refused at customs, or refused because duties were not paid, cannot be refunded.
  • Remote areas can have different methods, times and charges than the table above.

Delays and lost parcels

If a parcel is later than the combined production and transit window, or the carrier never marks it delivered, email hello@dmvclothing.com with your order number. We will trace it, and if it is lost or unreasonably delayed we will reprint or refund.

Compensation does not apply when the delay is caused by an incorrect address, a refused delivery, a missed pickup, a customs hold, severe weather or other events outside the carrier's control.
